Finishing your video assignment

The deadline for your video assignment will be this Friday, March 12, at 5 p.m. Unfortunately, we will not be able to devote any more class time to it. But many of you are doing this on your laptops. And the open-lab hours for 171 Holmes have been posted here.

Here is what I’ll be looking for:

• Post your video to YouTube. The conversion will take a while, so don’t expect to be able to view it right away.
• Once it’s done, write a blog item and embed the video into your item. I’m not looking for much — just a headline and a few sentences. It’s the video that I’m really interested in.

You will also be writing a blog post about our trip to GlobalPost, of course. Another short item related to your beat wouldn’t be a bad idea, either.
