Today we will begin three weeks of Web video with a presentation by Steve Garfield, a nationally known, Boston-based video blogger and the author of a new book called “Get Seen.” I’ve asked Garfield to bring a few copies of his book. I know I’ll be buying one.
We will have no more guest speakers until after spring break. Rather, we are going to be on a tight schedule to produce good-quality news videos. Other than shooting your story (which I won’t be talking about until Wednesday), you will be able to do all or most of your work in class.
Unless you are an old hand at video, I strongly recommend that you make every effort to be in class until the break. One complicating factor is that we won’t have class next Monday. That means we’ll have just three sessions to edit our videos, upload them to YouTube and embed them in our blogs.
